What should I bring? (food, toys, blanket, etc.)
  • Food: To help keep tummies happy and regular, be sure to bring their usual food and/or treats prepackaged per normal feeding amounts in individual zip-lock bags. Please do not bring Tupperware or large dog food bags as we do not have the storage to keep them. Exceptions are available for long-term lodging guests (7+ days).
We can help with cooking any food at no charge provided customers bring the materials. This can be a great option for guests who have special dietary needs or who simply want to prepare their own meals for their pets.
  • Collars/leads: Not necessary as we do not allow dogs to play with collars or leads for safety reasons. Just be sure to bring a lead for pickup and drop off!
  • No Sleeping items (Blankets/Beds): In order to maintain a sanitary and safe environment we ask you not bring bedding. Our accommodations come with a comfy elevated bed that most dogs love! We ask you not to bring anything fabric into our facility. (DO NOT pressure our staff into taking back beds and blankets). However, we understand that dogs may experience anxiety when away from home. To help with this, we allow owners to bring a shirt for their dog to sniff. This can help to provide a familiar scent and help your dog feel more comfortable.
  • No Toys: For the safety of all our guests, please do not bring any toys from home. We provide a variety of engaging toys for all dogs to play with while supervised by our staff.

How many dogs do you accept?

To make sure all our furry guests have a safe and fun time, we have groups of about 8-10 dogs playing together in our big, indoor play area. Don't worry, it's super spacious, so there's no overcrowding! We're really careful about who plays with who. We put dogs of similar sizes and personalities together, so everyone gets along and feels comfortable. Puppies have their own special group with the small dogs, because they're still learning how to "speak dog" and play nicely. Plus, our amazing team is always around to keep an eye on everyone and make sure all the pups are having a great time!

Will my dog be different after they come home?

After the excitement and exhaustion of playing and socializing all week, it is important to take the correct steps in making your dog adapt back to a normal schedule. While staying at Leo & Friends, your dog received unlimited water both in the daycare and in their accommodation overnight. However, it's still likely they might seem thirsty upon returning home. This is a common reaction to the excitement of being back at home with their family. Please withhold water from them for at least the first hour that they are home; once you see they have calmed down, you can then allow them access to their water bowl. Drinking too much water too quickly may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort, vomiting or bloat.

We recommend waiting at least three hours from the time you arrive home to offer their next feeding. Excitement and stress from changing schedules again may also cause a change in urination or bowel movements outside their normal schedule. Give your pet some extra personal attention. While your pet stayed at Leo & Friends, whether it is in the doggie daycare with other dogs, or with our staff members during their private playtime, they played hard. Even if your dog did not run all day, just being awake for longer hours than they are used to may lead to your dog being more tired than usual when returning home. This should not impede their ability to eat or drink normally, and their laziness should go away within 2 to 3 days from returning home.

While in Doggie Daycare most dogs love to play vigorously and wrestle with each other all day. During this play, it is NOT uncommon for some dogs to leave with minor cuts or scrapes. They love this type of play and we have trained supervisors always monitoring the group. We absolutely do not allow aggressive dogs at Leo & Friends but dogs do have teeth and nails and it just so happens dogs love to play with their paws and mouths. Although rare, occasionally some rough play may result in more moderate injuries. No amount of supervision or personalized care from our staff can be 100% certain to prevent a dog from being injured while playing.

Is there staff at the facility 24 hours a day?

Your dog's well-being is our top priority. Our dedicated staff provides 24/7 supervision, ensuring your dog is safe and comfortable even during overnight hours. This allows for a relaxed and natural environment where dogs can roam freely at all times.

My dog is not neutered/spayed, can you still board them?

We're happy to welcome female dogs, whether spayed or not. To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, unneutered males will enjoy playtime in a more controlled setting. This may include one-on-one sessions with our staff or small-group play with compatible friends. This allows us to prioritize positive social interactions.

Note : We only accept dogs who are neutered / spayed for Unlimited Daycare Subscription

My dog is not friendly to dogs, can you still board them?

Yes, we understand that some dogs can be a bit more protective or hesitant in new environments. We welcome dogs with varying personalities, including those who might be initially defensive or a bit unsure around other dogs.

Here's how we approach it:

  • Socialization with Care: We believe that with proper introduction and guidance, many dogs can learn to socialize comfortably. We'll gradually introduce your dog to others, starting with calm and friendly dogs, and closely monitor their interactions.
  • Personalized Playtime: For dogs who are more assertive or prone to snapping, like Shiba Inus or Chow Chows or unneutered male dogs, we'll create a personalized playtime schedule. This means they'll enjoy dedicated one-on-one playtime with our caring staff in a secure and comfortable setting, ensuring their safety and the safety of other dogs.
  • Continued Socialization Efforts: Even with personalized playtime, we won't give up on socialization entirely. We'll continue to introduce your dog to other dogs in controlled environments and at a pace they can handle, always prioritizing their well-being and
  • Our goal is to provide a positive and enriching experience for all our furry guests, while ensuring a safe and harmonious environment for everyone. We'll work closely with you to understand your dog's specific needs and create a tailored plan that sets them up for success.
